Acknowledgments
First and foremost, I must thank my Lord and my God for His steadfast love and merciful guidance.
Next, I pay particular homage to Fr. Evariste Ouedraogo, who at Sacred Heart Church, in Mt. Vernon, New York, showed me a new way to say the rosary as we grievously prayed for the welfare of a very dear friend. If it were not for Fr. Evariste, the “Luminous Wellness Rosary” and the wellness devotional suite, in general, might not have ever evolved.
At the risk of leaving someone out, I feel the need to give an overall recognition to my many sisters and brothers who influence me on my spiritual journey. These folks are members of my Sacred Heart Family, the program facilitators of the International Black Summit, those at The Center at Mariandale, The Focolare Movement, St. Ignatius retreats at Inisfada, and Marist Brothers Spiritual Directors’ Training Program.
Very special acknowledgement goes to my faith-filled sister Alice, kindred spirits Naomi, Petra, sister-cousin Pendah, Mariah, Lucia, Monika, Zina and, of course Ubeka. Thanks to daughters Nia and Zakiyyah, for keeping it real, and to Bill, the provider, who always says, “I have your back”.
If perhaps this particular “Luminous Wellness Devotional” has fallen into your hands, consider please that you are one of the friends who support me along my journey.
