             As newly certified Spiritual Directors we gathered at table for a celebratory meal. One month earlier I was infected with “the virus” and I prayed the rosary regularly, for recovery of self and family.  I was also very pleased with myself for the ten workouts I had done the previous month. It was then that I had an illuminating thought.

      

      Since our prayer requests ordinarily include health-related concerns; why not establish a prayerful wellness domain?  So, logically, through my eyes as a Catholic Health Educator, who happens also to be a rosarian, now Spiritual Director, the “Luminous Wellness Rosary” became alive.

     

      I shared this concept with several non-Catholic friends who seemed to have an inclination for wellness devotionals, but not necessarily the rosary. I considered the possibilities and developed a wellness devotional “suite”, that encompasses scripture, wellness dimensions, prayers and affirmations.
